[ An army, huh? Well, if anything, that would certainly prepare someone for the front lines. For strategy and making the tougher decisions. No wonder she hadn't broken in the test. ]

Someone else did? That must be reassuring, to have a mentor who would teach you so much. Especially in your circumstances.

It's not who I report to, but I've been assigned to extra training. Ghost and Gale.
You should get to know him. He can be a good tutor. [ He was hers, after all. ]
FROM: starkov.alina@cdc.org
Enough about Gale to make me suspicious. The Captain strongly dislikes him, and I believe there's a reason for that. He helped us on Ajna. A little conveniently.
FROM: starkov.alina@cdc.org
I probably trust Ghost most of all the Instructors. He's nice, and he tries. But he's honest, too. They all are, they withhold due to their positions, but where they can be they're honest.
There's just something different about his honesty that I like. [ Maybe the bluntness of it at times. ]
I'll make sure to reach out to him. Thank you for letting me know.
FROM: ginoza.nobuchika@cdc.org
If the Captain dislikes him, why is he here?
FROM: ginoza.nobuchika@cdc.org
I think I understand the honesty. He did not feel like he was withholding anything from me, after the assessment decision. I did appreciate that. It's good to know that is consistent.

Training at home was nothing like this. Something of this caliber would be treated as an outlier, rather than anything close to possibility.
FROM: ginoza.nobuchika@cdc.org
What sort of training prepared you for these sorts of decisions?
FROM: ginoza.nobuchika@cdc.org
I'm not as worried over Ghost, my concern lies with Gale.

I lead an army at home. Someone else taught me all he knows about leadership. Experience helped too...
FROM: starkov.alina@cdc.org
Is that who you report to now? [ Someone doesn't like him. ]

It helped a lot. Maybe it could help you? If you find someone with the experience you need to learn from.
FROM: starkov.alina@cdc.org
Both? One sounded bad enough... [ Queen of comforting tbh. ]

I've no doubts that would be helpful. Perhaps I'll be able to find that, here.
[ He's generally positive about the other recruits. ]
FROM: ginoza.nobuchika@cdc.org
That's my worry as well. I know little about Ghost and even less about Gale. I'm unsure what brought on the need to include both.
FROM: ginoza.nobuchika@cdc.org
Do you have familiarity with Ghost, Alina?
[ Research. ]

You're on Sturmhond's team, aren't you? [ She knows he is, he'd have to be if he's not on hers. But it's polite to ask.]
FROM: starkov.alina@cdc.org
I wouldn't know anything substantial about Gale. And what I do know is only stories, really. [ enough to not like him, but still.... ]
FROM: starkov.alina@cdc.org
I do know Ghost a little more, though. Not as much as I'd like, but I think enough to get an idea of what kind of person he is.

I am, though we’re not very familiar.
FROM: ginoza.nobuchika@cdc.org
What’s your take, then, on them both? I don’t know much about either. Any information at this point is likely to be helpful.

I don't know. And I'd hate to presume... [ But she doesn't think Gliese has a choice, if she's frank. ]
FROM: starkov.alina@cdc.org
He is. He's a good instructor for our team. If Gliese had to be replaced as our instructor, I'm glad it was with him.

Probably wise.
[ Presuming won’t get them anywhere, after all. ]
FROM: ginoza.nobuchika@cdc.org
I hope my feelings will remain the same, in this. I’d rather not have to dislike Ghost.
